Kini Wright, Executive Director

Fiscal Specialist/Accountant, Montgomery County Public Schools

Kini Wright is a dedicated fiscal specialist and accountant at Montgomery County Public Schools in Montgomery County, MD. With a strong background in financial economics and accounting, he brings a wealth of expertise to his role, ensuring the efficient management of financial resources within the education sector.

A graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore County, Kini holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Economics. He furthered his education at the University of Maryland University College, earning a Master of Science degree in Accounting and Financing Management.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Kini is deeply committed to giving back to his community and promoting education, both locally and globally. As one of the founding members of Hawa's Children's Fund, he plays an integral role in realizing the organization's vision of providing education to young girls and boys in Liberia, West Africa. Kini firmly believes in the transformative power of education and is passionate about empowering the next generation to reach their full potential.

With a heart for service and a dedication to educational equity, Kini exemplifies the values of compassion, integrity, and advocacy in his work and philanthropic efforts.

Weyata Taylor, Director

Weyata Taylor's journey in education advocacy and technology spans continents, reflecting her unwavering commitment to empowering young minds and building a brighter future. Born and raised in Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa, Weyata received her primary education there, igniting her lifelong passion for learning and educational equity.

With over 18 years of experience in the public education industry, Weyata possesses a profound understanding of the transformative power of education, particularly for young girls and boys. She has dedicated her career to fostering an educated society and creating opportunities for all students to thrive.

A proud alumna of the University of Maryland Baltimore County, Weyata holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems. Her proficiency in technology serves as a valuable asset in bridging the gap between education and innovation, ensuring students have access to cutting-edge resources and opportunities.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Weyata finds joy in playing her handbells at church and volunteering her time to engage with young people in her community. As a devoted wife and mother of four wonderful girls, she understands the importance of family and strives to instill a love of learning in her own children and those around her.

Weyata's unwavering dedication to educational advocacy, coupled with her expertise in technology and her compassionate spirit, make her a driving force for positive change in both local and global communities.
